Meet Connie
With over 20 years of experience in childcare, Connie is a dedicated advocate for the benefits of early learning in nature. Having raised five children of her own, she fully believes in the environment as an essential and inspiring educator. Connie previously owned and operated a beloved outdoor daycare on Vancouver Island, where she combined her passion for the outdoors with her commitment to nurturing children’s development.
An avid outdoor adventurer, Connie has explored the West Coast extensively, embarking on countless multiday hikes in some of the most rugged remote areas. This has fueled her belief in the transformative power of nature in all learning and well being.
At Little Trailblazers, Connie fosters a safe, welcoming space where children can explore, question, and discover; building critical thinking, collaboration, and self-regulation skills through creative, hands-on activities. With her wealth of experience and love for the great outdoors, Connie brings a heartfelt commitment to outdoor learning. She provides stimulating environments, while encouraging children to play, explore, and discover, building age appropriate, cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
“Some of my most impactful and lasting learnings, along with my greatest lifelong friendships have all been founded in nature.”
Connie
